Your Warranty and what it Covers
22
July

Warranties can be a lifesaver if equipment fails to work or shuts down. However, if the item is damaged or not used correctly the warranty can be voided. By knowing what your warranty covers and the rules you must follow to keep it intact are very important if you plan on using it in the future. Most warranties will cover their products for a limited amount of time. Warranties vary by each product and have rules that must be applied in order to keep the warranty in place. Knowing what these rules are and what the warranty requires can and will help you when you need to use it.

Where can I find my warranty?

Your warranty will usually come with your equipment. It should be fairly easy to find. Most often an information booklet will be packaged with your warranty in a plastic bag. If it has been a long time and you lose it, you can always find the manufacturer website and look up your model number. If this doesn’t work, call the manufacturer directly and they should be able to give you the information you need.

Rules usually included

All warranties have rules you must follow in order to keep it valid and will list what will void it. Be sure to read through your warranty that comes with your product. Here are some general guidelines you should follow when handling any equipment.
